Refund Events

The Refund Events chart tracks the number of instances where users were refunded for purchases or subscriptions. This metric provides valuable insights into customer satisfaction and the effectiveness of your pricing, product offerings, or billing practices.

Calculation

Refund Events are calculated by counting the number of times a user receives a refund for a transaction, whether for subscriptions or one-time purchases. This includes refunds requested by users as well as automatic refunds due to payment errors or chargebacks.

Example: How Refund Events are calculated

If your app had the following data in a given month:

  • 200 total transactions processed
  • 15 of those were refunded

The number of Refund Events would be:
Refund Events = 15

Usage

The Refund Events metric helps you gauge the effectiveness of your pricing and product strategy, as well as customer satisfaction. A high number of refund events could indicate issues with product quality, user experience, or pricing.

To reduce refunds in Botsi, consider these strategies:

  • User Feedback: Gather feedback from users who request refunds to understand their reasons and improve your offerings.
  • Clear Pricing and Terms: Ensure that users fully understand your pricing model and subscription terms to prevent misunderstandings that lead to refunds.
  • Improve Customer Support: Address user concerns quickly and efficiently to reduce the likelihood of refund requests.
