Offers in the App Store

App Store offers are special promotions that help make your app more attractive to users. These deals can include discounted prices, free trials, or bundled options for in-app purchases. Offers are a powerful way to increase engagement, attract new users, and retain existing ones, ultimately improving your app’s performance and user satisfaction.

With iOS 13, Apple introduced Promotional Offers to allow developers to offer custom discounts on subscriptions, even to existing or returning users. Botsi fully supports these promotional offers, giving you the tools to create, manage, and monitor them efficiently.

Notes

  • To use Promotional Offers, you need to upload your subscription key to the Botsi dashboard. This step is essential for properly signing the offers so they work seamlessly in the App Store.

  • Introductory offers (such as free trials or limited-time discounts for new users) are handled automatically by iOS, as long as the user is eligible, no manual action is required for those.

Configure Promotional Offers in App Store​

  1. Open your App.
  2. In the sidebar select Subscriptions.
  3. Find the corresponding Subscription Groups and access it.

  1. Select a Subscription.
  2. Go to the Subscription Prices section and click the add button (+).
  3. Select the Create Promotional Offer option. A modal window will open.

  1. Enter a Promotional Offer Reference Name and an Identifier.
  2. Click Next.

  1. Select the Type of Promotional Offer. Choose from:
  • Pay as you go
  • Pay up front
  • Free Then select the appropriate duration for your option.
  1. Set the Pricing by Country price. App Store will automatically calculate prices for each region based on recent exchange rates.
  2. Click Next.

  1. In the Confirmation page, make sure the details of your promotional offer are correct for all the countries listed and click Confirm.
