Placements in Botsi

Placements are specific points within an app or website where a Paywall is displayed. These points can be key locations in the user flow, such as the onboarding screen, the settings section, or when a user attempts to access a specific feature. Placements allow developers to strategically position Paywalls in different areas of the app to increase their effectiveness, depending on the target audience and the content being monetized.

With Placements, you can:

  • Target Key Moments: Display Paywalls at strategic points in the user journey to maximize conversions.
  • Personalize Experiences: Tailor Paywalls to match user context, delivering more relevant and compelling messages.
  • Optimize with A/B Testing: Experiment with different Paywall configurations to identify the highest-performing setups.

How Placements Work

Placements are a key part of managing how and when users encounter your Paywalls and A/B tests. Setting them up involves these steps:

1
Create a Placement

In your app management dashboard, define a placement by selecting the point in the user journey where you'd like a Paywall or A/B test to appear (e.g., Onboarding, Settings).

Each placement is given a unique ID that you will hardcode into your app.

2
Manage Paywalls and A/B Tests

Once a placement is created, you can link multiple Paywalls or A/B tests to it. You can also specify different Audiences (groups of users) for each test or Paywall.

You can experiment with various Paywall designs or offers over time without having to release a new app version. Simply replace one Paywall with another in the placement settings.

3
View and Analyze Performance

You can track the performance of each placement by accessing analytics from the dashboard. This includes data such as the number of views, conversions, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of each placement.

4
Edit or Delete Placements

If needed, you can edit existing placements, update Paywalls, or even delete placements that are no longer relevant to your app's flow.

5
Fallback Paywalls

Download and set up Fallback Paywalls to ensure that users without an internet connection can still view an offline version of your Paywall. This ensures that user experience is maintained, even in the absence of connectivity.

By using Placements, you can optimize when and where your users encounter important content or offers, making it easier to increase conversions without affecting the core functionality of your app.
