The whole landing is the brand stack: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Nat Geo, with 'Endless stories, now streaming' and one button. For a streaming app the IP is the value prop, so they don't bother with a carousel or a quiz. The logos do the selling.
Disney onboarding screen 3: Email is step 1, before you've seen a second of content3
Email is step 1, before you've seen a second of content. Most apps would leak users asking for signup this early, but Disney can get away with it because you opened the app already wanting Disney+. Intent is high enough to carry the ask.

Birthdate, and the step counter quietly jumps from 'of 3' to 'of 5' here. They told you 3 steps and it's now 5. Moving the goalpost mid-signup is the kind of thing I'd watch in the dropoff numbers.

Disney paywall with pricing, onboarding screen 1515
Two tiers, no free trial: Basic with ads at $7.99/mo and Premium at $13.99/mo or $139.99/yr. 'Switch or cancel anytime' up top to take the fear out. The annual price is buried inline on Premium with no savings called out. I'd test surfacing the annual discount, since that's where the LTV is.

Disney onboarding screen 17: The hard wall17
The hard wall. 'You're only one step away from streaming' over a preview of the actual app (Mandalorian, the content rail). You can't watch anything until you subscribe. Showing the product behind the glass is a smart nudge: you can see exactly what you're one tap from. The account-delete link is compliance, not UX.
