True onboarding opener: a full-bleed talking-head coach video greets you ('Welcome to BoldVoice') over the first input. Personality-led, not a static splash. They spend their most expensive real estate (a human face) before asking anything. Name capture first, login link tucked below.
BoldVoice onboarding screen 15: ATT tracking prompt fired early, framed as 'helps personalize your learning experience15
ATT tracking prompt fired early, framed as 'helps personalize your learning experience... never show ads'. Softening the ask before the system dialog. Aggressive placement this early in the flow.
BoldVoice onboarding screen 16: Goal-setting question ('What is your goal?') with the coach video still narrating the prompt16
Goal-setting question ('What is your goal?') with the coach video still narrating the prompt. Speak confidently / native speaker / understanding / public speaking. Classic intent-segmentation that they later echo back in the plan summary.

Value-prop interstitial: 'Improving your spoken English can boost career success by 16%' with a UPenn research citation. Outcome-anchored, career-framed payoff rather than feature talk.

Native-language quiz with per-language user counts (Spanish 181k, Chinese 152k...). Doubles as a social-proof signal disguised as a survey option. Smart: the answer you pick proves others like you already use it.

Account creation (Google / Apple / Facebook / email) placed mid-onboarding, after the user has invested in several quiz answers. Email asked after value, not before. Sunk-cost sequencing.

Email entry variant of the account screen. Confirms a real email is collected during onboarding rather than deferred to the paywall.

Testimonial unit: '86% of BoldVoice users report an improvement after 12 weeks' over a user-submitted video testimonial (Zihan Zhao). Video testimonials inside onboarding are rare and high-effort. Leans hard on credibility.

Notification permission via a reminder-time picker ('When should I send you practice reminders?', defaulted 4:30 PM). Permission obtained as a benefit (practice reminders) rather than a raw system ask.

Personalization payoff screen: 'Here's how we'll personalize your plan' replays every quiz answer (goal, motivation, level, native language, practice goal, interests) with green checks. Textbook personalization moment. Manufacturing the feeling that the survey produced a bespoke plan.

Social-proof escalation: 'Hollywood Speech Coaches' with named coach headshots plus WB/Hulu/Netflix/HBO/Marvel press logos. Borrowed authority right before the paywall to justify the price.

Price-anchoring screen: '1 year on BoldVoice costs less than 1 hour with a 1:1 coach' with a $ vs $$$$ bar chart anchored to $150, 300/hr coaching. Pre-paywall justification, plus the 'first week is absolutely free' nudge.

BoldVoice paywall with pricing, onboarding screen 4848
The paywall: single plan, 7-day free trial then $149.99/year, 'Start 7-day trial' CTA. Trial timeline (full access today / reminder day 5 / charge day 7) plus a 'Remind me before my trial ends' toggle to reduce surprise-charge anxiety. Close X present and 'View All Plans' link, so trial is the strong default but technically optional/dismissible.

Post-purchase trial explainer reiterating the day-by-day timeline ($149.99/yr) with a 'Notification Scheduled' confirmation ('remind you on 08/30/2025, ~2 days before trial ends'). Reinforces trust immediately after the commitment.
