Lingvano onboarding screen 1: 'Start learning a sign language' is the whole pitch — 'Start learning a sign language' is the whole pitch. They're a single-niche app, not a 30-language menu, so every screen after this can speak to one motivation instead of hedging.

Lingvano onboarding screen 4: Which sign language: ASL, BSL, or Austrian — Which sign language: ASL, BSL, or Austrian. A real zero-party choice that branches the course, and it's the first tap, so you've committed to a path before they ask for anything.

Lingvano onboarding screen 8: 'Why do you want to learn ASL' as single-select — 'Why do you want to learn ASL' as single-select. This should be multi-select, plenty of people learn for family and work both. It's good zero-party data too, but I don't see it echoed at the paywall later, so it's collected and dropped.

Lingvano onboarding screen 10: Benefits screen before signup: 600+ lessons, Deaf teachers, daily streak — Benefits screen before signup: 600+ lessons, Deaf teachers, daily streak. It's telling not showing, but it's three bullets and a Next, so it earns the signup ask without stalling.

Lingvano onboarding screen 13: 'Last step — 'Last step! Nearly done, you only need to create your account.' Signup lands here, before any lesson. Calling it the last step and keeping the progress bar near full is how they pull people through an account wall that usually leaks.

Lingvano onboarding screen 20: Email confirmation required mid-flow, before you've done a single lesson — Email confirmation required mid-flow, before you've done a single lesson. Verifying email this early adds friction at a moment when you haven't felt any value yet. I'd test pushing it past the first lesson.

Lingvano onboarding screen 21: The paywall fires here, after signup but before the free lesson — The paywall fires here, after signup but before the free lesson. 7-day trial, annual default at $119.99 ($9.99/mo), with a 'today / day 5 / day 7' timeline that makes the trial feel safe. They're betting post-signup intent is high enough to ask before the aha moment.

Lingvano onboarding screen 22: 'No thanks' sits under 'Start free trial now,' and declining drops you into the free lesson anyway — 'No thanks' sits under 'Start free trial now,' and declining drops you into the free lesson anyway. That makes this a soft wall: you can say no and still get value, which is the right call this early.

Lingvano onboarding screen 23: Annual is pre-selected with monthly as the toggle — Annual is pre-selected with monthly as the toggle. Annual default plus a trial sends a high-quality purchase signal and locks in a year. The '$9.99/month' framing on a $119.99 annual makes the yearly feel small.

Lingvano paywall with pricing, onboarding screen 24 — Three tiers: annual, 3-month, monthly. Annual is pre-checked and anchored against $17.99/month, so the yearly reads as the deal. The 3-month middle option mostly exists to make annual look obvious.

Lingvano onboarding screen 25

Lingvano onboarding screen 27: The first chapter starts here, after the paywall — The first chapter starts here, after the paywall. So signing your first word, the actual aha moment, comes only once they've already asked for money. The free lesson is the value and they deliver it second.
