Opens by naming the three jobs people hire a white noise app for: focus, relax, fall asleep. It's telling rather than showing, but it frames the goal question coming next. I'd test dropping straight into the goal picker.

'What would you like help with' as a multi-select (plus icons, Continue stays greyed until you pick). Multi-select is right here, people use white noise for sleep and a crying baby and a barking dog at once. This is zero-party data, so I'd check they actually reorder the sound library from it later.

'Do external noises interrupt your sleep' with never/sometimes/always. This maps straight to the product since masking noise is the core use. A user who taps 'always' has just told themselves they have the exact problem this app solves, a few screens before the paywall.

White Noice Deep Sleep Sounds onboarding screen 12: 'How old are you' in brackets, late in the quiz12
'How old are you' in brackets, late in the quiz. Age doesn't change which white noise you need, so this reads like data collection more than personalization. I'd test cutting it to shorten the quiz, since none of these answers show up in the paywall copy anyway.

The last loading step is 'Creating your 7-day free trial.' They presell the trial inside the personalization animation so the paywall isn't a cold ask. The progress ring counting to 100 is a goal gradient that pulls you to the end.

Annual is the default with a 'Save 44%' badge and the trial, monthly $5.99 sits underneath as the anchor, and they show the $3.33/month equivalent. '#1 sleep app on the app store' carries the social proof. Standard high-LTV setup. The X means you can bail into the free app, which is why this works as a soft wall.

Notification prompt fires the second you land in the app, before you've played a single sound, with the generic iOS copy. For a sleep app I'd frame it by benefit (bedtime reminder, new sounds added) and ask after the first play instead of cold on arrival.

White Noice Deep Sleep Sounds onboarding screen 28: 'The free version limits play to eight hours at a time28
'The free version limits play to eight hours at a time. Upgrade to listen to sounds continuously.' This is the freemium hook done well. You hit a real limit in normal use (the sound cuts out overnight) and the upgrade reason is concrete, not abstract.
White Noice Deep Sleep Sounds paywall with pricing, onboarding screen 2929
Second paywall, now three tiers, with 'Yearly with Family Sharing' at $59.99 set as Best Value default above plain yearly and monthly. The family plan anchors high so $39.99 yearly looks cheap. 'Redeem Your Free Week' reframes the trial as something you already own rather than something to sign up for.
