A seasonal hook with a chart: 'Be 4x more likely to stay fit all summer.' The 4x and the curve aren't really yours, they're 'based on fitness habits of 70K users,' but it frames Zing as a habit you're forming rather than a workout app. Timing the message to summer is a nice touch.

Zing Coach onboarding screen 12: Health-data consent dressed as a benefit

12

Health-data consent dressed as a benefit. Instead of a dry legal checkbox they title it 'Personalizing your experience.' You need the consent anyway, so wrapping it in value is the right move.

13

Asks your name and then uses it everywhere: 'Jacob, is all the data correct,' 'Jacob, your Muscle Gain plan is ready.' Cheap to collect, and it makes every later screen read like it was built for you.

Zing Coach onboarding screen 15: Asks for Apple Health to pull your activity, weight, and workouts

15

Asks for Apple Health to pull your activity, weight, and workouts. The payoff is real: it autofills your stats on the next screen so you don't type them. Friction down, and the plan feels like it already knows you.

Zing Coach onboarding screen 19: Age, height, and weight pre-filled from Apple Health, you just confirm

19

Age, height, and weight pre-filled from Apple Health, you just confirm. Way less friction than typing four fields, and seeing your real numbers already sitting there makes the app feel like it did homework on you.

23

Teasing the AI body scan: 'analyze body fat and more with a single selfie.' The body scan is actually a paid add-on (see the paywall fine print), so this is planting demand for an upsell before you've even paid for the base plan.

Stat-led social proof mid-quiz: '96% of Zing users say Live View is their favorite feature,' survey size in small print. Drops a specific number partway through a long quiz to keep perceived value climbing.

Zing Coach onboarding screen 35: Shows example exercises 'from your custom picks' before you pay

35

Shows example exercises 'from your custom picks' before you pay. A concrete preview of what you're buying beats another promise. The 'this may change as we learn more about you' line keeps expectations honest while still building value.

Loading screen with three filling progress bars plus a testimonial carousel. Two jobs at once: show the work being done to justify the wait, and stack social proof ('Trusted by 598,425 users') while you can't tap away.

Zing Coach onboarding screen 42: The payoff screen

42

The payoff screen. Every input gets reflected back in one card: goal, age, gender, weight, fitness level, injuries, titled 'It's all about you.' This is where the long quiz cashes out, right before the ask.

Zing Coach paywall with pricing, onboarding screen 50

The paywall, after a long quiz and a personalized plan reveal. Three tiers, no trial, annual is the green 'best value' default at $59.99. Skipping the trial sends a stronger purchase signal to ad networks and dodges the trial-leak problem. The body scan teased earlier is carved out as a separate add-on.

Instead of dropping you on a blank home, they tee up a named first workout: 'Jacob, your first workout: 59 min, Chest, Shoulders, Core.' Ready to start, points you straight at the aha moment. Good activation.

Referral loop framed as a gift: 'Gift your friends Zing 7 days free.' Giving instead of asking lowers the awkwardness, and every friend who joins drops your CAC. Putting it post-paywall is fine, these are your most committed users.

Same paywall again, reached from the premium locks scattered through the dashboard (body scan, journal, analytics). The free tier is kept thin so you keep hitting the wall. Most people don't buy on the first paywall, so contextual re-asks pick up some of the rest.
