No logo, no pitch yet, just the problem framed emotionally before they ask for anything.

Opal onboarding screen 3: First thing they ask is your name, before signup and before any value — First thing they ask is your name, before signup and before any value. They reuse it all over the flow ('I can help with that, Jacob', 'Opal will get you back 5 years'). Cheap zero-party data that makes every later screen feel personal.

Opal onboarding screen 5: Signup wall this early, before they've shown any value — Signup wall this early, before they've shown any value. Apple's defaulted on top, phone and email below. High intent is now so grabbing the account isn't crazy, but asking before the user feels anything is the usual dropout risk. I'd test moving this past the first aha.

The sleep pick comes back later as 'not much sleep, sleep can help with that.' Good zero-party setup, though I'd test multi-select since most people want both focus and sleep.

Segmentation they could route copy on. I'd want to see it actually change a downstream line, otherwise it's a question that earns nothing.

This permission is the whole product, so they sell it gently and lead with 'securely' to lower the privacy worry. Asking before the paywall is right since the block can't work without it.
