Free access for 7 days then $39.99/year ($3.33/month), with the exact charge date named and step-by-step cancellation instructions on the same screen. Declining routes to a limited free tier of 3 games per day.

The ATT prompt with their own explainer above it, and the line that matters is 'We'll never sell your data to third parties.' Naming the fear directly is the only thing that moves this dialog, and most apps write marketing copy here instead.
Elevate onboarding screen 6: 'Already have an account6
'Already have an account? Log in' above 'New to Elevate? Start improving with 40+ games.' The returning user is served first, which is the right order on a relaunch and the one most apps get backwards.

Three value prop screens with a Skip, all of them about outcomes rather than features: challenge your mind, track your progress, see the benefits. 'Improve your productivity, earning power, and self-confidence' is selling a life, not a game library.

'First, tell us how you'd like to improve.' A framing screen before the questions start, so the quiz reads as configuration rather than interrogation.

Six goals, one per screen, each a plain Yes/No: improve your vocabulary, articulate your thoughts more clearly, strengthen your focus while reading. One decision per screen costs six taps and gets a much higher completion rate than a single multi-select of six checkboxes.
Elevate onboarding screen 23: Social proof dropped in the middle of the quiz, not at the start: 93% felt mentally sharper, 90% expanded…23
Social proof dropped in the middle of the quiz, not at the start: 93% felt mentally sharper, 90% expanded their vocabulary, 88% boosted writing skills. And the footnote says it plainly, 'based on a study of members who used Elevate 5 times per week.' Qualifying your own stat is rare and it makes the number more believable, not less.
Elevate onboarding screen 24: 'What's motivating you to improve?' after six capability questions24
'What's motivating you to improve?' after six capability questions. Capability tells them what to train, motivation tells them what language to sell in. Two different jobs and they ask them separately.

Elevate onboarding screen 26: 'Do you have ADD/ADHD26
'Do you have ADD/ADHD? These can affect your reaction time and focus', with 'I prefer not to share' as a real option. Sensitive question, justified on the screen, and given an honest exit. If you're going to ask something like this, this is the shape it should take.
Elevate onboarding screen 27: Self-reported attribution again, same as Brainly in this batch27
Self-reported attribution again, same as Brainly in this batch. Every growth team on iOS is doing this now.
Elevate onboarding screen 3838
Elevate onboarding screen 44: 'Which word doesn't fit' with a 'Don't know' option on every question44
'Which word doesn't fit' with a 'Don't know' option on every question. Removing the fail state matters when you're assessing an adult who is quietly worried they'll do badly.
Elevate onboarding screen 54: Self-rating questions mixed in with the tested ones: 'rate your ability to remember names'54
Self-rating questions mixed in with the tested ones: 'rate your ability to remember names'. Perceived weakness is what people buy against, so capturing it alongside measured skill gives them both numbers.
Elevate onboarding screen 57: 'We're determining your skill level in Writing, Speaking, Reading, Math, and Memory.' A processing screen…57
'We're determining your skill level in Writing, Speaking, Reading, Math, and Memory.' A processing screen after real work, so it reads as calculation rather than theatre. The ones that annoy people are the fake loaders after three taps.
Elevate onboarding screen 60: 'Introducing EPQ, the Elevate Proficiency Quotient60
'Introducing EPQ, the Elevate Proficiency Quotient. You will be given an EPQ ranging from 0-5000.' They invented a metric and named it. A proprietary score is a number you can only improve inside their app, which makes it the retention mechanic and not just a result screen.
Elevate onboarding screen 64: Your starting EPQ, broken out per skill: Writing 2347 Intermediate, Speaking 2839 Advanced, Reading 2388…64
Your starting EPQ, broken out per skill: Writing 2347 Intermediate, Speaking 2839 Advanced, Reading 2388 Intermediate, Math 2848 Advanced, Memory 1330 Intermediate. Notice Memory is well below the others. The lowest bar is the reason to come back, and an assessment long enough to produce one is worth the screens it costs.
Elevate onboarding screen 66: Signup finally, after the assessment66
Signup finally, after the assessment. Your score already exists, so the account is the thing that saves it. That's the correct order and it's what most of this batch gets wrong.
Elevate onboarding screen 72: Age asked after the account exists, so a drop here costs them nothing72
Age asked after the account exists, so a drop here costs them nothing.
Elevate paywall with pricing, onboarding screen 7676
'How your free trial works': today unlimited access, day 5 a reminder, day 7 you'll be charged on August 6, cancel anytime prior. $39.99 a year framed as $3.33 a month. And then a 'How can I cancel?' section with the literal tap-by-tap path through iTunes. Telling people how to leave, on the screen where you ask them to stay, is the strongest trust signal in this entire batch.
Elevate onboarding screen 77: Decline and you get 'You've selected the limited version of Elevate', listing exactly what you gave up: 3…77
Decline and you get 'You've selected the limited version of Elevate', listing exactly what you gave up: 3 games per day, reduced library, simple metrics. Loss framing on the downgrade rather than a nag on the upgrade. 'Try Premium for Free' sits underneath as the way back.
Elevate onboarding screen 78: The notification ask closes with 'Reminders help you build good habits', which is the benefit to the user…78
The notification ask closes with 'Reminders help you build good habits', which is the benefit to the user rather than to them. Same pattern as Chegg and Nibble in this batch, and it keeps working.
Elevate onboarding screen 81: 'Thanks Alex, you're now ready to start using Elevate.' Name in the copy, and an explicit end to onboarding81
'Thanks Alex, you're now ready to start using Elevate.' Name in the copy, and an explicit end to onboarding. Marking the finish line matters after a flow this long.
Elevate onboarding screen 83: 'Daily workouts include up to 5 games83
'Daily workouts include up to 5 games. Complete them all to finish your training for the day.' A bounded daily goal. Five games is finishable, which is what makes a streak plausible, and an unbounded app is what makes one impossible.
Elevate onboarding screen 85: Each game opens with its own benefit statement, 'learn to express yourself clearly and concisely', plus…85
Each game opens with its own benefit statement, 'learn to express yourself clearly and concisely', plus difficulty and high score. Every session is re-sold on why it matters, so the game never becomes just a game.
Elevate onboarding screen 91: 'Tap here91
'Tap here. All or part of this selection can be removed without changing the meaning.' In-game teaching at the moment of the mistake instead of a tutorial up front. Instruction is cheapest when you're already stuck.
Elevate onboarding screen 110: 'Great job' with the high score and speedy answers called out110
'Great job' with the high score and speedy answers called out. Then the EPQ update. The score you were given at the start is now moving, which is the entire loop.
Elevate onboarding screen 112112
Elevate onboarding screen 114: EPQ earned, proficiency level, current and next up114
EPQ earned, proficiency level, current and next up. The number from the assessment forty screens ago is the thing that goes up. That's a long setup for a payoff and it's why the assessment was worth it.
Elevate onboarding screen 115: 'Access 40 games115
'Access 40 games. Unlock Elevate.' The upsell sits right after a completed game and a raised score, which is peak sentiment. Same instinct as asking for a review at the top of the curve.
Elevate onboarding screen 118: 'Personalized to you' on the upsell, listing 40+ premium games and a daily crossword118
'Personalized to you' on the upsell, listing 40+ premium games and a daily crossword. The word personalized is load-bearing here because the assessment actually earned it.
Elevate onboarding screen 121: 'Earn 2 more achievements to unlock activity.' Gating a feature behind effort rather than money121
'Earn 2 more achievements to unlock activity.' Gating a feature behind effort rather than money. Cheap engagement and it doesn't cost them a thing.
Elevate onboarding screen 123123
Elevate onboarding screen 127: Streaks, workouts and levelled achievements, all sitting at zero on day one127
Streaks, workouts and levelled achievements, all sitting at zero on day one. The same empty-dashboard problem as Pimsleur in this batch, though at least here the EPQ is already populated so there's one real number to look at.
