Nibble pricing and paywall terms

7 days free then $89.99/year ($1.73/week), anchored against $138.44/year struck through with a -35% seasonal discount badge. Declining triggers a second offer at $29.99 for 12 months ($0.57/week), 67% off.

Nibble onboarding screen 2: ATT prompt on launch, before the first product screen2
ATT prompt on launch, before the first product screen. Their justification mentions 'reduce repetitive ads on social media', which is at least an attempt at a benefit to the user rather than to them.
Nibble onboarding screen 3: 'Get your bite of knowledge instead of scrolling.' They're positioning against TikTok, not against Duolingo3
'Get your bite of knowledge instead of scrolling.' They're positioning against TikTok, not against Duolingo. For a microlearning app the real competitor is the feed, and naming it on screen one tells you they know that.

Nibble onboarding screen 5: 'What would you like to learn with us5
'What would you like to learn with us? Don't worry, you can change it later. Just choose a few for starters.' Multi-select with the pressure removed. 'You can change it later' is the line that unblocks people who are afraid of picking wrong, and it costs nothing.

Then they narrow the multi-select straight back down: 'Which one do you want to start with?' Breadth for the profile, one topic for the first lesson. Most quiz flows collect a multi-select and then have no idea what to do with it.

Nibble onboarding screen 10: An interstitial instead of another question10
An interstitial instead of another question. Twenty-seven steps is a long walk, and these breaks are what keep it from feeling like a form. Same job as the midway screen in Ahead's flow.

The notification ask arrives with a research claim attached: 'Remember 3x more new information with visual learning', footnoted to Bay Atlantic University. Whether the study says quite that is another matter, but evidence beats 'stay updated' every time.
Nibble onboarding screen 15: 'How did you like learning at school?' This isn't personalization, it's agreement15
'How did you like learning at school?' This isn't personalization, it's agreement. Most people pick 'not perfect, but alright' or worse, and now the app is positioned as the alternative to something you already resent.

'Baycrest's Rotman Research Institute found that mistakes can help a person learn new information better than if no mistakes were made. So have fun with your errors!' Granting permission to fail before the first quiz. Cheap way to defuse the anxiety that kills learning apps in week one.

Nibble onboarding screen 23: 'Hello, fellow multitasker!' fired immediately after you answered how you like to learn23
'Hello, fellow multitasker!' fired immediately after you answered how you like to learn. Echoing the answer straight back is the cheapest personalization available and it's the thing most quiz flows forget entirely.

'What's your biggest distraction when learning?' and Notifications is one of the options, twelve steps after they asked you to turn notifications on. Nobody has read this flow end to end in a while.

Nibble onboarding screen 27: Twenty-seven steps with the counter visible the whole way27
Twenty-seven steps with the counter visible the whole way. Showing '3/27' early is a real bet: honest, and it also tells someone at question three that twenty-four remain. I'd test hiding the denominator until halfway, where the goal gradient starts working for you instead of against you.
Nibble onboarding screen 28: Signup lands after the entire quiz, with a Skip in the corner28
Signup lands after the entire quiz, with a Skip in the corner. All the effort is already sunk, so the account reads as saving your work rather than as a toll at the door.

The free trial guide as a three step timeline: today no payment, day 5 a reminder, day 7 cancel in advance to avoid payment. They are teaching you how not to pay them. That costs some conversions and buys back trust, and it's the same instinct as Rock Identifier's reminder toggle in this batch.
Nibble onboarding screen 40: 'We'll remind you 2 days before your free trial ends' with the actual date on a calendar chip40
'We'll remind you 2 days before your free trial ends' with the actual date on a calendar chip. Putting a real date on it is what separates this from a checkbox nobody believes.
Nibble paywall with pricing, onboarding screen 4141
$138.44 struck through, a '-35% SEASONAL DISCOUNT' badge, 7 days free then $89.99 a year, and the same number again as $1.73 a week. Three framings of one price on a single screen. The microcopy under the button is the part worth stealing: '2 taps to start, super easy to cancel' answers the last objection at the exact moment it fires.
Nibble onboarding screen 42: Home is 'Finish a lesson to start your streak' over an empty week strip, with 'You're interested in…42
Home is 'Finish a lesson to start your streak' over an empty week strip, with 'You're interested in Statistics, Personal finance' pulled straight from the quiz and a Manage link beside it. The answers are visible on the home screen, so those twenty-seven questions visibly bought the user something.
Nibble onboarding screen 44: 'Enjoying Nibble44
'Enjoying Nibble? Tap a star to rate it on the App Store', asked after the trial decision and after the first content. Much better timing than Course Hero or Rock Identifier manage in this batch, both of which ask before you've done anything at all.
Nibble onboarding screen 46: 'We have a special gift for you', wrapped as a present46
'We have a special gift for you', wrapped as a present. You declined the paywall, so the discount arrives as a gift instead of a price cut. The framing matters: a discount admits the first price was wrong, a gift says you got lucky.
Nibble onboarding screen 47: 67% off47
67% off. $29.99 for twelve months, $0.57 a week, against the $89.99 they asked for six screens earlier. Over 90% of people never convert on the first paywall, so a second offer at a third of the price picks up a real slice of them. And it only ever appears after you've said no, which is the whole point.
