Fig pricing and paywall terms

Free 7 days then $69.99/yr (preselected) or $3.99 first month then $69.99/yr. Primary CTA opens Stripe web checkout (app2web); 'Pay in app' IAP link below.

Fig onboarding screen 1: Notification permission fires on the very first screen, before 'Let's find food you can eat' has done anything1
Notification permission fires on the very first screen, before 'Let's find food you can eat' has done anything. A cold ask with no context. The trial-reminder screen later gives a real reason to allow, so I'd move it there.
Fig onboarding screen 2: Then the ATT prompt on the first question2
Then the ATT prompt on the first question. Two system prompts in the first two screens. The custom copy ('suggest products we think you'll love') is fine, but most people tap no on reflex this early. Note the 'I'm a clinician' link at the bottom.
Fig onboarding screen 3: 'Find new foods that fit all of your needs from the stores you love' with a real product and grocery logos…3
'Find new foods that fit all of your needs from the stores you love' with a real product and grocery logos (Costco, Target, Kroger, Whole Foods). Concrete. You get that it's a grocery product checker in one look.
Fig onboarding screen 4: Attribution question with 'Medical provider' as an option4
Attribution question with 'Medical provider' as an option. Paired with the 'I'm a clinician' link, it tells you doctors and dietitians are a real acquisition channel for a food-allergy app.

Fig onboarding screen 6: Chip picker of diets and conditions ('Low FODMAP', 'GERD', 'Gluten free', 'Mold detox')6
Chip picker of diets and conditions ('Low FODMAP', 'GERD', 'Gluten free', 'Mold detox'). '2,900 dietary needs' is the moat, and a long scrolling list makes that feel real.
Fig onboarding screen 7: Tap a restriction and you get a severity sheet: 'Severe' (cross-contact is not ok), 'Intolerance'…7
Tap a restriction and you get a severity sheet: 'Severe' (cross-contact is not ok), 'Intolerance', 'Preference'. Great detail. It tells a celiac user this app gets their problem better than a generic diet app does.
Fig onboarding screen 8: 'Mind leaving a review?' with 'Trusted by 1 million users' laurels and user quotes behind the native rating…8
'Mind leaving a review?' with 'Trusted by 1 million users' laurels and user quotes behind the native rating prompt. Review ask before the paywall, and before any real value. Putting testimonials behind it primes the five stars.
Fig onboarding screen 10: Loading screen that ends on 'Identifying 303,596 products you can eat' with confetti10
Loading screen that ends on 'Identifying 303,596 products you can eat' with confetti. A big specific number makes the result feel tailored, and it reframes a restriction as abundance.
Fig onboarding screen 11: 'Your personalized product finder is ready' with a grid of products checked as safe11
'Your personalized product finder is ready' with a grid of products checked as safe. The payoff matches the promise from screen 3.

Fig onboarding screen 12: 'We'll remind you 2 days before your trial ends12
'We'll remind you 2 days before your trial ends. You'll get a push notification on October 10.' The Blinkist-style trial reminder, with an actual date. Lowers trial anxiety right before the ask.
Fig onboarding screen 13: Then they let you pick the reminder: 1, 2 or 3 days13
Then they let you pick the reminder: 1, 2 or 3 days. A small extra commitment. But the paywall right after says 'Remind me 3 days before my trial ends' even though 2 days was selected here. Personalization continuity, broken by one word.
Fig paywall with pricing, onboarding screen 1414
The main button is 'Redeem 7 days for $0.00' with an external-link icon, and it opens a Stripe checkout on billing.foodisgood.com in the browser. In-app purchase is still there as a small 'Pay in app' text link. App-to-web checkout as the default path, which US apps can do since the Epic ruling, and Fig skips Apple's commission on everyone who pays on web. Two offers, both landing on $69.99/year: 7 days free (preselected) or $3.99 for the first month.
Fig onboarding screen 17: The web checkout: 'Try Fig+ App Subscription Offer17
The web checkout: 'Try Fig+ App Subscription Offer. 7 days free. Then $69.99 per year starting October 11, 2026.' Apple Pay sits on top via Stripe, so paying on web is still one Face ID tap. That's why app-to-web works now: the checkout friction is close to IAP.
Fig onboarding screen 22: The $3.99 path on web: 'Pay Food is Good Inc22
The $3.99 path on web: 'Pay Food is Good Inc. $3.99, then $69.99 per year.' Note the merchant name is the company, not Fig. That can confuse people when it shows up on their card statement.
Fig onboarding screen 24: Pick the $3.99 plan and the CTA switches from 'Redeem 7 days for $0.00' to 'Start today', with '$3.99 for the…24
Pick the $3.99 plan and the CTA switches from 'Redeem 7 days for $0.00' to 'Start today', with '$3.99 for the first month, then $69.99 per year'. A paid intro month usually brings fewer but higher-intent subscribers than a free trial. Nice to see both offered side by side.
Fig onboarding screen 25: 'Your safety is our priority' with a required checkbox covering terms, the allergen disclaimer and binding…25
'Your safety is our priority' with a required checkbox covering terms, the allergen disclaimer and binding arbitration. A legal must for an allergy app. Putting it after the paywall keeps it out of the way of the ask.
Fig onboarding screen 26: Camera permission with the reason in the prompt: 'We need your permission to scan barcodes on food products.'…26
Camera permission with the reason in the prompt: 'We need your permission to scan barcodes on food products.' Asked the moment you land on the scanner, which is the right time.
Fig onboarding screen 27: Lands straight on the barcode scanner, with 'No food nearby27
Lands straight on the barcode scanner, with 'No food nearby? Try a demo scan'. Smart. The demo scan gets you to the aha moment even when you're not standing in a grocery store.
Fig onboarding screen 39: Demo scan result: a bag of pretzels with a red X against your Gluten Free profile and 'Enriched wheat flour'…39
Demo scan result: a bag of pretzels with a red X against your Gluten Free profile and 'Enriched wheat flour' flagged in the ingredients. 'Simple ratings' tooltip walks you through it. This is the aha moment, and it uses the restriction you picked in onboarding.
Fig onboarding screen 40: Skip the paywall and you get 'Unlimited scans for your first day!' with an Upgrade button on the scanner40
Skip the paywall and you get 'Unlimited scans for your first day!' with an Upgrade button on the scanner. A one-day free taste, then limits. Keeps the upgrade prompt on the core action.
Fig onboarding screen 41: Tap Upgrade and the paywall sequence replays: 'We offer 7 days free so everyone can find safe food.' Mission…41
Tap Upgrade and the paywall sequence replays: 'We offer 7 days free so everyone can find safe food.' Mission framing on the trial. 'Continue for free' is softer than 'Start trial'.
Fig onboarding screen 43: Second paywall, same structure, still routing to web with 'Redeem 7 days for $0.00'43
Second paywall, same structure, still routing to web with 'Redeem 7 days for $0.00'. This time it says 'Remind me 2 days before my trial ends', so it matches the reminder choice. The plan rows are also trimmed down ('7 days', '1 month', no renewal price on the row).
Fig onboarding screen 46: 'See what works, down to the ingredient' introduces recipes with a 'Likely a fit' badge46
'See what works, down to the ingredient' introduces recipes with a 'Likely a fit' badge. Feature tour after you've used the scanner, not before. Right order.
