Signup is the first real screen, before a single value prop. And look at the checkbox: 'I don't want to receive emails with the latest plant news and recommendations from botanists', unchecked by default. Inverted opt-out. You have to tick a box to not be marketed to. That wins a quarter of email volume and costs you trust.

Yearly at $39.99 ($0.77 per week) marked BEST OFFER and preselected, against weekly at $6.99. Weekly annualises to around $363, so the decoy isn't subtle. The detail worth copying or avoiding is 'Enable free trial' being a toggle that's off by default: the default action here is a direct charge. Most apps default that on to maximise trial starts, and flipping it trades volume for immediate cash and worse refund optics.
