Uptime onboarding screen 12: 'Pick as many as you like' plus an 'Everything' shortcut

'Pick as many as you like' plus an 'Everything' shortcut. Multi-select is right for topics since people want more than one, and 'Everything' lets the indecisive bail without friction. This is zero-party data they should echo at the paywall, and they mostly don't.

1-week free trial fronted, with '75% off if you continue' anchoring the yearly. Bullets are benefits-led ('get smarter, faster, and stand out in no time'). The catch is it fires right after a name and a topic pick, so there's not much earned value behind the ask yet, and none of the bullets reflect the topics I just chose.

Two plans, yearly defaulted and pre-selected with 'Save 75%', monthly sitting there as the expensive anchor at $19.99. The '$4.67/month' breakdown does the math for you. When monthly is the decoy you don't need a third tier.

Hit 'No thanks' and you get a softer offer: 3 days of Premium free, no card, plus a standing 75% discount. Most people never buy on the first paywall, so handing out free access and letting the product sell itself is a reasonable second swing.

Notification ask framed by benefit ('we'll notify you about Hacks we think you'll love so you can build a new habit'). Habit-building is the right hook for a learning app. They run their own yes/no primer before the iOS dialog, so a 'no' here saves the system prompt and protects their opt-in rate.

Instead of a blank home, they hand you three named Hacks (Mel Robbins, Catherine Price, Kahneman) and a 'Jump straight in.' This is the activation moment: get to a 5-minute Hack fast. Tying these picks back to the topics I selected would make it land harder.

The '72h left' badge and the 'Your Premium access is running out' card run the reverse trial: you get Premium free for 3 days, the countdown stays visible, and the upgrade ask repeats in context after you've used a few Hacks. Loss aversion on access you already have converts better than a cold paywall up front.
